Cleaning is Caring
After emptying the cup
Rinse the menstrual cup with cold running water using the cleansing cup.
Then dry it with a clean cloth or toilet paper before inserting it again.
Once a day (morning or evening)
Clean the menstrual cup with an unscented oil-free soap and rinse it under running water.
Dry the cup with a clean cloth or toilet paper before inserting it again.
Sterilising the cup
Boiling your cup at the beginning and the end of each cycle maintains your cup lifetime for 5 years!
Only use water or unscented oil-free soap.
Bleach, lube or anti-bacterial products can attack the silicone and decrease the cup's lifetime.
Store your cup in the dry cleansing cup.
If the general look of the cup changes e.g. colour change, silicone feels different or if a smell persists after boiling the cup, consider changing it with a new My Cup'in.
